Super Shrimp Rub

1 tablespoon black peppercorns,
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon anise seeds, crushed
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Zest of 2 lemons

In a small bowl, stir together the spices. Rub spice mixture evenly over shrimp coating the entire surface. Cover and refrigerate for 15 minutes to 1 hour to boost flavors. Grill over medium heat.

Kickin’ Chicken Rub

1/3 cup paprika
1/4 cup fresh sage leaves
1 teaspoon brown sugar
1/3 cup fresh rosemary
3 tablespoons dry mustard
2 tablespoons onion powder
2 tablespoons garlic powder
2 tablespoons ground dried basil
2 tablespoons ground red pepper
1 tablespoon ground black pepper

Combine all ingredients. Apply to chicken heavily and massage into the meat half an hour before grilling.

 

Steak Your Claim Rub

1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 tablespoons freshly ground black pepper
1 tablespoon kosher salt
1 tablespoon mustard powder
1 tablespoon red chili powder
1/2 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon brown sugar
3 tablespoons ground paprika
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
Combine all ingredients in a small glass bowl. Mix well and apply to steaks 1 to 2 hours prior to grilling.
